John's 1st Annual Halloween Party

 The John's had their 1st Annual Halloween Party October 26, and some of the family from the "hills" dropped in unexpectedly.

   Here's Cousin Jethro.  Aunt Earlene didn't give him much notice of the trip, so he sorta came as he was.  But we sure were glad to see him! 

Speakin' of Aunt Earlene, here she is with Jethro.   Don't she look nice?  Sure wish she'd brought her book on gettin' rid of warts.

Jethro's tellin' her all about his new goat and how big it's gettin'!  (why would he care how tall that goat is????)

 And then there's Cousin Etta Jean here with Aunt Earlene.  As you can see, Etta Jean ain't too happy 'bout the trip to Texas.   She can be a bit "uppity" at times.   'Specially at big fancy parties!

And here's Cousin Jenny Mae.  Ain't she the prettiest thang you ever saw?  She and Jethro been hooked up for more'n 25 years now ... but she don't like to admit it.

  Junior was here too.  He's moved off to the big city ... and thinks he's some kinda hippie or somethin'.

   Here's the part of the family we don't like to talk about much, but I guess it'd  just be down right rude not to  include 'em.   First, there's Sister Sue, who takes her laundry everywhere she goes cause her husband, Jim Boy, won't buy her a wash tub.  

Then there's Mother Pearl, who has a thang for Junior's feet ... it's kinda embarassin'.

    And last, we have Jim Boy (Sister Sue's husband) and Pappy.  As you can see, Jim Boy don't like folks tellin' him how embarassin' it is to have his wife take his dirty shorts everywhere they go.
